Who we are

Klassproof is a product of Truvifi Tech Private Limited (“Klassproof”, “we”, “us”). We are the data fiduciary (controller) for personal data collected through this website, klassproof.com. You can reach us at hello@klassproof.com.

What this policy covers

This policy covers the klassproof.com marketing website and the “Request a demo” form. It does not cover the Klassproof attendance product itself. Where an institution deploys Klassproof, the terms for that data are set out in the agreement with that institution.

What we collect

When you request a demo, you give us:

  • Your full name
  • Your work email address
  • Your phone number and country dial code
  • Your institution or university name
  • Your role

When you submit the form we also record the time of submission, a booking reference, and your IP address. We use your IP address to limit abuse and detect spam bots.

Separately, our servers read your approximate country from your IP address, using your hosting provider’s request headers, to pre-select a phone dial code. This is not stored.

Our web host also keeps standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) to keep the site secure and running.

We do not use advertising or analytics trackers, and the site does not set cookies of its own.

How we use it

  • To respond to your demo request and arrange the demo
  • To send you a confirmation email and follow up about Klassproof
  • To keep a record of enquiries so we can manage our sales conversations
  • To protect the site against spam, abuse and security threats

We process this data because you asked us to contact you by submitting the form (your consent), and for our legitimate need to keep the site secure. We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for automated decision-making.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the site. They process data only on our behalf:

  • Vercel, which hosts the website
  • Google (Gmail and Google Sheets), which sends our emails and stores our enquiry log
  • fonts.cdnfonts.com, which serves one typeface. Your browser contacts it directly, so it sees your IP address

Some of these providers are located outside India, so your data may be transferred and stored abroad. We may also disclose data if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep demo-request details for as long as we are in conversation with you, and afterwards only for as long as needed for our business records or to meet legal obligations. If you ask us to delete your details, we will, unless the law requires us to keep them. Server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider.

Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), rate limiting, anti-spam checks and limited access to protect the data you send us. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Under applicable law, including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct or update it
  • Ask us to delete it
  • Withdraw your consent at any time
  • Nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf

Email hello@klassproof.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

This website is intended for staff of educational institutions. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data through it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. For material changes we will make the update prominent on the site.
